Objective

The goal was to boost the sales of the client’s Christmas-related products using targeted paid advertising on Facebook and Google. IndiaTX aimed to achieve this by optimizing the client’s website for conversions and reaching potential customers through precisely targeted ads.

Observations

Several issues were noted with the client’s existing setup:

  • The checkout process on the website was overly complicated.
  • There was no presence on Google Merchant Centre.
  • Analytics were poorly configured, offering no useful historical data.
  • While the client had a YouTube presence, there were no targeted promotional videos.

Performance Max Campaign for E-Commerce

  • Google Merchant Centre Setup: Recognizing the importance of a holistic approach to Performance Max campaigns, we first streamlined the client’s website and set up Google Merchant Centre to launch Google Shopping Ads. We also produced simple promotional videos showcasing the Christmas lights, enhancing video-led promotions within the PMax campaign.
  • Website Conversion Optimization: The client’s website was optimized to expedite the purchasing process from product selection to payment in just three clicks, a significant improvement from the previous six-click process. Enhancements included streamlining the checkout flow, refining product descriptions and images, and integrating customer reviews.
  • Analytics Tracking with Looker Studio: We implemented comprehensive analytics tracking to monitor the campaign and website performance. A Looker Studio report was developed to present data graphically, tracking key metrics such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and revenue, which informed further campaign optimizations.
